Our international arbitration group is a leading international arbitration practice staffed with lawyers with many years of experience handling cross-border disputes, across a wide range of jurisdictions and industries. 

What do we do?

We advise clients across the spectrum of issues that arise in international arbitration – both commercial and investor-state disputes – from case inception, representation in arbitration proceedings and hearings, ancillary court proceedings, as well as enforcement and costs issues.

We have managed arbitration proceedings under all the major arbitral institutional and trade association rules, including the ICC, LCIA, ICSID, SIAC, SCC, AAA-ICDR, Swiss Arbitration Association, CIETAC, HKIAC LMAA, LME, MMTA, RSA, FOSFA and Gafta. Our lawyers have also appeared in ad hoc arbitrations under the UNCITRAL rules and acted for governments in dispute settlement proceedings before the World Trade Organisation.

We represent clients in court proceedings arising out of arbitrations, including enforcement of agreements to arbitrate and jurisdictional challenges, anti-suit injunctions, interim measures to preserve assets or compel disclosure/ testimony, and enforcement of arbitration awards.

In addition, our lawyers provide strategic assistance on related advisory matters including drafting jurisdiction and governing law clauses in commercial agreements, third-party funding, sovereign immunity, sanctions, ESG and compliance, as well as investment restructuring.
