Chris’ expertise includes the drafting and preparation of both standard form and bespoke building contracts and appointments as well as warranties, deeds of novation, performance bonds and parent company guarantees. They also provide practical risk management advice and carry out construction due-diligence on construction packages provided to funders, purchasers and corporate occupiers.

1. Acting for a leading investor in healthcare properties in the UK on the procurement of several projects as well as on managing contractor insolvency. 
2. Carrying out due-diligence on the construction packages provided to a large corporate occupier looking to take several new leases on storage units across the country.
3. Advising a global company on the fit-out works at its new London headquarters. 
4. Advising a UK bank looking to offer funding to several businesses. This involved the preparation of comprehensive reports outlining the security on offer as well as practical steps to be taken to manage any gaps in the cover provided. 
5. Advising a major charity on the procurement and construction of renovations and extensions to its properties and facilities.
