As a Commercial/ Development Director with over 25 years’ experience in various areas of the construction industry, Chris has extensive experience of commercial and project management, cost control and reporting, and contractual litigation, as well as a wealth of experience in debt restructuring, corporate recovery and interim management.
Chris is a strong and dynamic leader with an innovative mind and an eye for detail. He can demonstrate experience of delivering projects both on time and within budget at pre- and post-contract procurement stages and managed via various forms of contract. He has a thorough understanding of the project management, design and construction process. He has a detailed knowledge of financial control and reporting of both cash and risk management and the preparation and presentation of management accounts.
As a highly motivated and confident communicator, Chris is driven by results, successfully leading contract negotiations at a senior level, involving both technical and commercial issues.
For over 10 years, Chris has spearheaded the growth of Gateley Vinden into the asset-based lending (ABL) sector and the wider financial services industry which, in turn, provides wider support to the funding of the construction sector. He brings his 25 years of knowledge and experience from being involved at the sharp end of the construction sector, coupled with his knowledge of how an ABL funder monitors and manages risk, to offer an in depth knowledge of the ABL sector and advise clients on the funding of, not just the construction sector, but also ‘contractual debt’.
