How do you help clients?
I offer sound legal and commercial advice to clients to enable them to make informed choices about risk in order to successfully deliver their schemes.
I enjoy working as an integral function of my clients’ internal team to gain an understanding of the business as well as a grasp of the bespoke commercial drivers. I maintain clients’ focus on the fundamental issues and detail that go to the root of delivering projects.
Establishing realistic, cost-effective legal and commercial solutions to obstacles on projects, I assist clients in:
- seeking to avoid or minimise the client’s risk by early identification of the key issues;
- implementing solutions to the key risk issues as and when they materialise;
- risk management, by providing methods of allocating risk to the parties best placed to manage it; and
- engineering the best-case risk profile based on the client’s bargaining power focussing on project-by-project application.
Experience
- Advising multiple national housebuilders on the funding and construction documents on their multi-million pounds remediation works initiatives for Government compliance on high rise accommodation. These initiatives involve providing innovate solutions to key strategies for implementation of the procurement process and the project documents, involving engagement with high-profile stakeholders.
- Acting for a leading developer of logistics and industrial property on the suite of construction documents for a warehouse facility at a capital value in excess of £120m.
- Acting for a data centre developer (incorporated as an oversees SPV) on the civils and MEP contracts, supply chain construction contracts and security documents in Qatar and Saudi Arabia for a global search engine provider.
