Gateley Legal Northern Ireland’s Business Quiz raises thousands for two Belfast charities
Insight shared by:
Our Belfast office has helped to raise more than £2,600 at its annual Business Quiz in aid of two of its nominated charities for 2024 – Dementia NI and the East Belfast Mission.
Now in its second year, the event at Ten Square Hotel in Belfast saw around 100 colleagues, clients, friends and charity partners split across 18 teams test their knowledge across a range of topics including music, film, culture, general knowledge and a picture round. The eventual winners on the night were reigning champions Investec Wealth and Investment.
Alison Reid, partner and head of Gateley Legal NI, said: “Our annual Business Quiz is always a fun evening but also highly competitive and this year was no exception. Congratulations to Investec Wealth and Investment who reigned supreme for the second successive year. We were especially delighted with the funds raised for two incredible local charities whose work touches so many lives in the community. I could not be prouder of everyone who was involved in organising and attending such a fantastic evening.”
Lianne Mulholland, fundraising and sustainability manager for East Belfast Mission, said: “We are so thankful to the team at Gateley Legal NI for their wonderful support and for organising such a brilliant event to support both ourselves and Dementia NI. All of the funds raised for East Belfast Mission will be vital for the innovative work of our Hosford Homelessness Services as we work towards our vision for a future where everyone has a place to call home. I would like to thank the team for such a fun quiz night for all involved and for all of their ongoing support for our work.”

Karen Kerr, Head of Engagement at Dementia NI, added: “We would like to thank Gateley Legal NI for organising their fantastic Business Quiz as part of our partnership to support the work of Dementia NI. It gave us a wonderful opportunity to share with the business community more about the impact our services have on local people living with dementia.”
