Gateley Capitus has bolstered its London-based capital allowances team with four appointments.
Chartered taxation allowances surveyor, Steven Chi, joins as a senior capital allowances consultant with five years of experience. Steven brings a strong real estate background to the team which spans the logistics and distribution, hospitality and leisure, data centres, student accommodation, retail, build-to-rent, industrial, and medical sectors. In his role at Gateley Capitus, Steven will support clients with capital allowances for property portfolios including purchases, sales and capital expenditure reviews. Alongside client work, he will also assist with the development of junior talent.
Sam Allen joins the team as a capital allowances consultant following two years in practice. Sam will focus on working with clients with commercial properties or large residential properties used in a commercial manner, including industrial and logistics, student accommodation, and furnished holiday lets, to gather intel and analyse data to produce capital allowance and land remediation relief claim reports.
Flavio Ferri has been appointed as a junior capital allowances consultant. Flavio studied capital allowances at the University of Westminster, where he majored in finance, and brings a year of post-graduate experience to the team. In his role at Gateley Capitus, he will advise clients on their eligibility for capital allowances, as well as supporting them throughout the claim process.
All three appointments join Gateley Capitus having previously worked alongside each other, together with Daniel Snow who joined the team a year ago.
Daniel is a chartered taxation allowances surveyor with seven years of experience within the capital allowances and land remediation relief industry. As a senior capital allowances consultant, he also oversees the development of junior talent and the chartership process including APC qualification.
Steven Bone, director at Gateley Capitus in London, said: “Our London real estate client base has grown significantly over the last few years and so it was the right time to strengthen our team of RICS regulated experts specialising in tax incentives for the property industry with some experienced hires.
“Both Daniel and Steven bring a strong real estate background to the team which will bolster our service offering and ensure we continue to deliver exceptional service to our clients. It’s also great to be supporting junior talent within the industry and Sam and Flavio will work closely alongside senior team members to develop their expertise. All four appointments will also play a role in supporting the property teams within the wider Group by providing trusted adviser status guidance for tax incentive opportunities.”
